Banquete NSA 2009: Celebrando 20 años

La Asociación Nacional de Supermercados, cerró con broche de oro sus 20 años de existencia, en la última actividad del año 2009. El Banquete anual se celebro en el Marriot en la calle 46, en Manhattan; fue una noche de celebración total.
El Prodigio
La noche comenzó con la hora de cócteles como siempre, que es un tiempo de encuentros entre amigos de la industria y tiempo de hacer nuevos contactos bajo el ambiente social. Luego se trasladaría al salón de fiesta donde sirvieron la cena. De apertura se sirvió un platillo típico dominicano, un sancocho delicioso. Después vendría el plato fuerte, mar y tierra, de pescado y bistec acompañados de vegetales al vapor. De postre dieron una combinación americana y dominicana. Apple pie representando el lado americano y un sorbet de chinola el dominicano.

Mientras se servia el postre comenzó la presentación de la noche. Entre las figuras luminarias que dieron breve discursos se encontró el Senador de Nueva York, Charles Schumer. Antes de abrirles la pista de baile a los invitados, hubo una presentación por un grupo de artistas de ballet y teatro. Ellos le dieron paso al grupo de Jazz que comenzó la fiesta.
Más tarde llegaría la hora que todos esperaban, la llegada de Krency García, El Prodigio. Con la entrada del Prodigio se encendió la pista. Así la Asociación Nacional de Supermercados celebro otro año más, uno el cual se tuvo que superar los estragos de una crisis económica. Hasta el próximo año, cuando celebremos otro banquete con la asociación, felices pascuas y un prospero año nuevo.

November 14, 2009 - The National Supermarket Association (NSA), celebrated 20 years of existence with the last event of the year 2009. The Annual Banquet was celebrated in the Marriot on 46th Street, Manhattan; it was a night full of excitement.

The event started with the usual cocktail hour, which is a time to reunite with old friends of the industry and to make new contacts in the social environment. It would then move on to the ballroom where dinner would be served. As an appetizer a delicious typical Dominican dish was served, called Sancocho. It is a thick stew made with typical Dominican vegetables such as yucca, plantains, and yams along with chicken, beef and pork together. Then came an entree of land and sea, fish and beef were served with steamed vegetables.Dessert was a fusion of the American and Dominican cultures. Representing the American culture mini apple pies were served and for the Dominican side a passion fruit sorbet was served.
As dessert was being served the presentation of the orators got under way. Of the luminaries that gave brief discourses, New York Senator Charles Schumer was present.Before opening the dance floor to the public present, there was a presentation by a ballet and theatre group, which was a bit controversial as they opened by saying "it's time to party the white way." They then gave way to a Jazz group that started the party.
Later on in the night, the moment that everyone was waiting for would come, with the entrance of Krency Garcia "The Prodigy". With the arrival of "The Prodigy" the dance floor got packed. In this fashion the National Supermarkets Association celebrated another year, one in which the effects of the economic crisis had to be overcome. With this we would like to say until next year, when we celebrate with the NSA another banquet, happy holidays and prosperous New Year.
